According to data of the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Hercegovina export of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period January – December 2017 amounted to 11 billion and 54 million KM, which is 17.4% higher than in the same period of 2016, while import in Bosnia and Hercegovina amounted to 18 billion and 134 million KM, which is 12.2% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 61% while trade deficit in goods amounted to 7 billion and 81 million KM.
Export from Bosnia and Hercegovina to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 790 million KM, which is 28.5% higher than in the same period of 2016, while import in Bosnia and Herzegovina from CEFTA countries amounted to 2 billion and 319 million KM, which is 12.1% higher than in the same period last year. The coverage of import by export with CEFTA countries was 77.2 %.
Export from Bosnia and Herzegovina to EU countries amounted to 7 billion and 866 million KM, which is 16.8% higher than in the same period of 2016, while import from EU in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 11 billion and 76 million KM, which is 10.7% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export in trade with EU countries was 71%.

MAKROECONOMIC INDICATORS FOR BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA FOR PERIOD JANUARY – SEPTEMBER 2018
According to data of the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina export of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period January – September 2018 amounted to 8 billion and 809 million KM, which is 8.8% higher that in the same period 2017, while import amounted to 14 billion and 287 million KM, which is 6.9% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export was 61.7 % while trade deficit in goods amounted to 5 billion and 478 million KM.
Export to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 412 million KM, which is 8% higher than in the same period of 2017, while import amounted to 1 billion and 720 million KM, which is 1.6% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export with CEFTA countries was 82.1%.
Export to EU countries amounted to 6 billion and 476 million KM, which is 11.3% higher than in the same period of 2017, while import amounted to 8 billion and 578 million KM, which is 5.4% higher than in the same period of last year. The coverage of import by export in trade with EU countries was 75.5%.
