
In order to promote Muslim opinion (Ummah), kings and heads of state founded the OIC - Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The headquarters of the organization is in Jeddah (Jeddah - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
The Secretary General of the OIC is H.E. Hissein Brahim Taha.
The organization dealt exclusively with political issues, but in the last decade, through the beginning of the process of globalization, it is trying to provide answers to various economic issues as well. In this regard, COMCEC was established - the Standing Committee for Economic Cooperation of the OIC countries.
Bosnia and Herzegovina received observer status at the 7th OIC Summit on December 15, 1994. in Casablanca.
